Local Christian Counseling:
Unbound Grace is a non-profit + faith based counseling center that assists anyone needing counseling in the Birmingham, Alabama area. They do specialize in addiction and substance use disorder.
Our Vision
To see men and women find freedom from alcohol and substance use disorder by experiencing spiritual health through relationship with Christ and community with others.
Our Mission
As an arm of the Church, we point people bound by addiction to God’s unbound grace through counseling, discipleship and community.
Counseling - for both the one struggling and the loved ones confronted and confused by substance use disorder.
Discipleship / Pastoring - for individuals, couples and families fighting addiction in their home.
Community - a safe place to meet other individuals struggling and connect with people that desire to encourage the journey to freedom.
What We Do
Unbound Grace develops relationships with individuals, families and ministries that are trying to make sense of the suffering and pain created by addiction with the goal of helping all to experience grace, healing and restoration. We offer:
Discipleship: One on one meetings
Community: Groups that share in life's challenges and struggles
Direction: Consultation for families and organizations
Unbound Grace embraces a recovery journey as the path toward restoration, lasting freedom and abundant life.
All human problems originate from our separation from God, and those problems show up most clearly in broken relationships with one another. Our answer to broken relationships is often to try and fix it ourselves. God’s answer to broken relationships is the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross, and His answer to disintegrated relationships is unity in the Church. Unbound Grace is an arm of this restorative people reaching out to those struggling with addiction.

Mental Health & Wellness Blog:
Faith, Lifestyle, Mental Health & Wellness
Over the course of young adult ministry, heart to hearts with many of my friends, leaders, and the responses I've gotten since starting this blog, I've come to the understanding that so many of us are struggling at the intersection of our faith and our mind. We are bio-psycho-spiritual beings - body, mind, and soul. It all works together. If your mind is off track, your spirit is off track. If your spirit is off course, your thoughts and attitudes are following right behind. No one is immune to the battle of the mind and how it interferes with our faith or can ultimately hold us back from our calling.
This blog exists for you if:
Your mind is at constant war with your identity, and it's hindering you from confidently fulfilling your purpose.
You struggle with insecurity, anxiety, depression and emotional disorders.
You're determined to develop exceptional lifestyle and mental habits for healthy living.
You need something that will encourage you to maintain an authentic walk with Christ.
You just need someone who gets it and won't judge you for being human.
I don't write about these things because I've walked this out to perfection. I write about these things because this has been my story, I walk it out every day, and I've learned a helpful thing or two a long the way. If this is for you, you can join me on this faith and mental-wellness journey by subscribing!
